Well, a few Valentines are arriving. Woo-Hoo!!
So on Tuesday’s blog we had the beginning pictures….
Two big pieces were cut to become these:
I added trims and vintage valentines printed on fabric:
Added binding:I put a piece of linen napkin on the back, carefully wrote a short message as the bumpy napkin was tough, and added an address.
Only to find out at the post office that ALL mail now goes through machines so even though they can hand cancel them, they still had to survive the machine. So I had to put them in envelopes. I was bummed but maybe the receivers don’t mind too much.
Oh, I didn’t mind one bit!!!
I curious over it for a moment, tho . . .and decided that it was a lifetime momento. One of those kind that fade with age and leave an impression in your heart, unsoiled by the travels of a us mailman. *dreamy sigh*
I feel loved. You are loved.
and so the story goes . . .
🙂
They a beautiful Joyce. I really like the vintage prints and the buttons. I love to see the step by step process of making a quilted sqaure.
It’s always a surprise at the end.
Your loved ones are lucky people to get those beautiful cards. You ought to document your projects and sell them in form of ebook as your handworks are real special.
those are so cute! saw your link from Sonlight.
