This is how my April stacked up in numbers. Join me in joining Julie’s Month in Numbers.
1 – Month in Numbers just totally ditched! (March – you were a mess here!!) Sorry, Julie!
Very few hours of sitting… it hurts to sit but I’m finally to the point that I can stand to type so that is helping.
205 – minutes of swim time at the pool. (missed some days)
0 – days of planting crops! Prayers needed! Rain is great and temperatures are not-great.
1 – very old UFO quilt top finished! It is about 90″ x 90″ and is all from scraps that I already had. (nearly free!) Yes, I know it sings the 80’s and 90’s but they aren’t bad all together in a pieced pattern. The top is now all pieced waiting for my own turn on my long-arm. 🙂 I’m just fine with waiting. I have another UFO resurrected to assemble the blocks in my off-hours.
90 – miles driven to purchase a used seed tender
1 – extra hour to pull home the seed tender! (back roads and slow mph while pulling)
1 – used tractor purchased but not delivered yet (Friday is the last report)
100 baby pigs born. So very thankful, especially considering how our March went in many areas.
1 book reception and the author is a friend that I met online – we don’t see each other enough! “Invisible Illness, Visible God” — Hope is My Anchor Great strengthening & encouraging book!
1 Easter holiday with the 2 kids and 2 in-laws here for Sunday
22 hours with K and 4 days with JP for Easter!
And that is my April in Numbers… I’m so glad you stopped by and even more thankful for your comments. 😉
I just love your quilt and the pattern. What is the pattern, as I would love to make it out of my scraps.
Thanks Mary Ann! It is a Bonnie Hunter pattern called Pineapple Blossom under her free pattern tab on quiltville.com

Once I get it quilted and finished, I’ll post more about it.
Hi Jules. I love hearing stories from all over the world and seeing how our lives compare/contrast. This week I’ve been waiting for a tiny battery for my watch to arrive while you’ve been waiting for a tractor!
No worries about missing a month – it’s just nice to have your company when you’re here!
And I’m not sure about farming protocol but … congratulations on all your new arrivals! Happy new piglets!
Your post is safely pinned to the board with everyone else now: http://pinterest.com/notesonpaper/my-month-in-numbers/
May May bring you many good things!
Julie 🙂
Thanks Julie! I, too, love learning about our different locations and how our lives are varied. I’m glad your theme keeps me focused and at least posting a bit. 🙂
I admire your quilt as quilting is an art that I would love to try one day! The 100 piglets is my favorite number here! I can’t even imagine how much room they take! 🙂
Oh and don’t feel bad about having missed one month! I am just back after skipping 4 months!
Thanks for your encouragement and for finding my MinN post, Nathalie!
I need to ask my husband for a photo of some baby pigs so I can post it. I’m not there with the animals very often. 😉 Married to my farmer but I slip up as a “farmer’s wife” often! ha!
Let me know if you have quilt questions. I talk quilting a lot and eagerly!
Your quilt top looks right in fashion with the pinks and grays. From the picture, I can’t tell that what the prints are, so I can’t tell which era you saved them from. Probably have some of them in my own stash too. It’s good for all of us to see quilts using those prints we just had to have long ago. Funny how our tastes change over time.
Diane, this is my second quilt with using my old era stash and the fabrics still work! ha! These 2 quilts are slowly convincing me that using the oldies in a quilt really is still OK and they look good. 🙂
I like the patterns in the quilt – yeah for having another UFO finished. 100 piglets is a LOT of piglets 🙂
Finishing UFOs seems to be the theme for me this year. Not a problem with finding them, that’s for sure!
100 was a small batch of moms and lower counts per mom actually. 😉 But with the hog issues, we are thankful for every one!
