This is K’s new couch with the newly dyed cover.
She has plans to ….
1. steam the bottom skirt
(really???? Cuz I would probably not go there. However, she has a very cool steamer and works where she sees very nicely pressed everythings.)
2. make hot pink & turquoise (& ????) pillows to tone down the purple a tad.
The original plan was to have a pinkish purple but the purple overpowered the pink in the mix. Hang on to your hats, cuz you know this could all change with a few cycles in the washer! 🙂
For now, she is happy to have more places to sit and a piece of real furniture. This is super comfy too!

Oooh, I love it! Some pink pillows to match/coordinate with the pink in the rug will be awesome, and I have long been a fan of turquoise with just about anything. Congrats, K, on making your new apartment more like home and have fun making the pillows!
Oddly – I cleared some stuff from my Mom’s house yesterday… one of the ‘finds’ was a BRIGHT pink bathrobe with light aqua/turquoise cuffs and embroidery. Couldn’t then think where it would go (definitely not in my earth toned house) but ya know – it would go here…
I also know some purple lovers who would love that! Congrats on doing a successful IKEA Hack 🙂

Great couch! Is she going to pull the colors from the rug to coordinate with the couch? She’s got a lot of home fashion sense – just like her mom :-).
